We are proud to have successfully completed 15 projects in the utilities sector to the value and created over 100 new jobs in the last 10 years.
1. Medupi Power Station: Primary and Secondary Clarifiers Valve Automation
The main scope of work was the replacement of mechanical diaphragm valves with automated valves. The project also included the replacement of pumps in the boiler house units.
2. Kusile Power Station: Procurement and Supply
Vanedi sourced and supplied the power station with a variety of valves, actuators and diaphragms as and when required for a period of 5 years.
3. Kriel Power station: Maintenance of Electrostatic precipitators (ESP)
The project encompassed the repair, fabrication and installation of the electrostatic precipitators which included the welding and fitting of components.
4. Lethabo Power Station: Provision of rigging services
This project entailed the provision of rigging services for planned and unplanned outages and routine maintenance services for a period of 5 years.
5. Kriel Power Station: Outage maintenance projects
The project entailed the overhaul and maintenance of the electrostatic precipitators at Unit 1 and Unit 2.
6. Medupi Power Station: Boiler plant performance testing
Vanedi conducted boiler air ducting design assessment to improve plant performance by reducing air heater leakages and optimizing airflow.
7. Matimba Power Station: Installation of PF sampling points
Vanedi installed Pulverised Fuel (PF) access points in order to provide accurate, repeatable and reliable test data of mill grinding performance necessary for optimal combustion efficiencies.
8. Tutuka Power Station: Provision of procurement services
We provided and trained procurement administrators to execute integrated sourcing and procurement processes according to prescribed procedures towards fulfilling procurement needs of the station.
9. Lethabo Power Station: Supply and delivery
Vanedi timeously supplied and delivered boiler thermocouples as and when required over a 5 year period.
